This time I am going to tell you about Storyboards, another helpful tool to use in our class. We are going to start a new unit with my second graders: present continuous. So I decided to introduce it through a very simple six-frames storyboard.
In order to create it, I use the free program called Storyboard That. It is an instinctive application where a big variety of characters, scenes and dialogues can be chosen to elaborate an educational story.

Hello everybody.
Today I discovered a new and very useful resource to support the distance learning process; PODCAST.
It was a little bit difficult to create, however, I found it essential.
The first step I made was to choose the right issue to develop it. Taking into consideration that this week was the World Book Day was easy to decide to talk about important people who have contributed to the literature. In this case, I chose Luis Braille.
Secondly, I recorded the script by Audacity program using some instrumental songs from Jamendo music.
Once that I had all audio ready It was uploaded through Ivoox creating the really podcast.
Finally, that was the result...

In our reading day I am going to introduce you to a nice infographic to remember you the steps should be followed to read the story and understand it perfectly.
EASILY was the chosen program to design the below infographic. It was an easy process and even easier to understand and visualize the reading comprehension steps.

Hello again!
One more time we are clarifying how to form the third person in the different verbs. In this case, I have elaborated a mindmap, it is a useful and a visual tool to explain it. The program chosen is MindMeister in which is possible to create these types of graphs in a few minutes.

Today is our Reading Day! And today I have prepared something different that you would love it; A COMIC!
I have used the program PIXTON to create my own comic selecting the scenes and characters.
This is the result.
Pixton es a great resource to create this kind of text, selecting every scene, character, face, dialogue, pose, etc. Comics are excellent materials to motivate children and make them read in a natural and relaxing way. I found it easy to elaborate even for children. Definitely, my students will be very excited to create their own stories.
